In one of my churches that I serve as an Interim Associate Pastor, we have begun a 7 week study on Vocation, the doctrine of service given to us by God. Each week we will have a video posted from the class of the lesson and discussion, along with the PowerPoint presentation, and I hope you will be enlivened to see the places where God has hidden himself to hand you his grace.
This week we are tackling the topic of parenting and vocation. We will dig into Deuteronomy 6:4-12 and think about how we are to serve our neighbor in our "parenting." ![]()

This week we are tackling the topic of marriage and vocation. Looking at the "noncontroversial" text of Ephesians 5:21-33, we discuss husbands and wives, the Protestant work ethic, and Jesus' death for you. ![]()

This week we look at the New Testament, and specifically Luke 10, as we delve into the questions brought through the parable of the "good" Samaritan. We will look at vocation, but with a little twist at the end. |
